Considering running for a position in the January 2015 Eagles of Thorondor election? Here’s the information that you need to help you make your decision.
Requirements to become a leader
- 5 months active in kinship
- minimum game time 8 hours, at least 3 days a week (no minimum level)
- willingness to create a character gmail account and participate in council discussions
- at least 51% of in-game time spent within the Eagles
- inform the council of absences
- mentor kinnies (meaning that you will provide basic help and support in-game)
- take on a duty within the council
- behave in a manner that reflects positively on the kinship as a whole when interacting with players outside of the kinship
Requirements to become an officer
- 3 months active in kinship
- minimum game time 6 hours, at least 2 days a week (no minimum level)
- willingness to create a character gmail account and participate in council discussions
- inform council of absences
- mentor kinnies (meaning you will provide basic help and support in-game)
- take on a duty within the council
- behave in a manner that reflects positively on the kinship as a whole when interacting with players outside of the kinship
Responsibilities of a leader
- Help to establish and maintain a positive and fun culture among our membership
- Make all promotions and demotions within kinship in accordance with our promotion/demotion policies
- Maintain the kinship house permissions
- Moderate and participate in the gmail decision-making process
- Assist officers in carrying out their duties; motivating them when necessary
- Conflict Management and Mediation, if necessary
- Maintain payments on the kinship house and the kinchests whether through personal funds or fundraising within the kinship
- Keep their fellow rotational leader informed of kinship issues in a timely manner
- Except in cases of emergency, inform the council about absences from the game that will last longer than one week
Duties of officers
- Help to establish and encourage a positive, fun, and supportive culture among our membership
- Participate in the gmail decision-making process in a timely manner
- Carry out officer assignments on a regular basis
- Conflict management and mediation in situations that must be addressed immediately and neither of the leaders is available. Afterwards, update all members of the council immediately
- Keep the leaders informed of kinship issues in a timely manner
- Assist with kinship events when able
- Except in cases of emergency, inform the council about absences from the game that will last longer than one week
